Charese Chambers is an award-winning Business and Finance Portfolio Strategist. She has recently taken a position at the Capital SBDC as a Business Advisor. In addition to this position, she runs her own company, Financial Fancy LLC that empowers aspiring and established entrepreneurs to create long term sustainability and accountability with their business finances. She has over a decade experience in tax preparation, accounting, and consulting. Chambers is a dynamic motivational speaker, workshop facilitator, engaging podcaster, and community leader.
Charese’s specialties include tax preparation, tax planning, bookkeeping, non-profit guidelines, budgeting, QuickBooks software, business entity set up, and financial reporting. Over her expansive career, she has consulted multiple industries, and nonprofits on setting, creating services, product pricing, and providing tax education for small business owners.
In 2022, Chambers was awarded the Best Business Mentor/Coach through Lynchburg Business in Lynchburg, Virginia. She speaks regularly on panels, working groups, webinars, and conferences. She’s been featured in a variety of notable publications, including Lynchburg Business, Women Leaders of the World, and Collective Purpose.
Charese is the producer of two podcasts: The Financial Fancy and Business After Dark. These powerful shows provide information to small businesses owners from startups and beyond. She has a social media reach of close to 10,000 connections and projects to reach even more with the relaunch of her podcast and YouTube Channel.
Charese is a sought-after community voice around topics of diversity, inclusion, equity, and service. She is the co-chair for the Rosel’s List, an organization dedicated to elevating female leadership. She serves as a board member for the Young Professionals of Central Virginia and a member of the Rotary Club of Forest, Virginia.
The mission of the Central Virginia African American Chamber of Commerce is to strengthen the community by supporting and promoting the recycling of dollars within the African American community. We will realize this mission by educating the African American business and consumer base on the value of doing business with one another.
