Any individual, without a business affiliation, who supports the mission and vision of the Central Virginia African American Chamber of Commerce may join. As an Individual/Friend/Associate, only your name and contact information will be listed in our membership directory on the CVAACC website. We ask that individuals looking to promote a business or organization join the member level that will best serve your needs.
Business individuals who have no employees, no store location and who work out of their home qualify for the Sole Proprietor rate. As a Sole – Proprietor Member, your business or organization, contact information and a link to your site will be listed in our membership directory on the CVAACC website. You will also receive an advertising web page built for you that is integrated into the Chamber search engine.
In order to qualify for the non – profit rate, the organization can have a maximum of one paid staff person. If the non – profit organization has more than one paid staff member, the organization qualifies for a business membership. Your organization name, contact information and your link to your site will be listed in our membership directory on the CVAACC website. You will also receive an advertising web page built for you that is integrated into the Chamber search engine.
Businesses may join at this level. As a Business Member, your business name, contact information and a link to your site will be listed in our membership directory on the CVAACC website. You will also receive an advertising web page built for you that is integrated into the Chamber search engine.
Businesses that have been in operation for 10+ years, and/or have exceeded $2 million in gross revenues for the last 2 years are anchors within our community. Anchor businesses have jumped over hurdles, conquered challenges and weathered storms. They have the longevity and financial footing to help secure the African American economic ship. Anchor members will receive all of the benefits afforded other members, plus special opportunities will be created to add value to their membership.
Anchor Members will have a gold anchor as their symbol of economic strength in the community.
Major corporations will find that their Corporate Membership helps build a stronger African American business community in Central Virginia. Your membership will provide a direct link to individuals who are at the ground level growing businesses and forging relationships. Your business name, contact information and link to your site will be listed in our membership directory on the CVAACC website.
The mission of the Central Virginia African American Chamber of Commerce is to strengthen the community by supporting and promoting the recycling of dollars within the African American community. We will realize this mission by educating the African American business and consumer base on the value of doing business with one another.
